The DMC-FX77 packages a f/2.5 LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMARIT lens with 24mm ultra wide-angle and 5x optical zoom(35mm camera equivalent: 24-120mm). The f/2.5 lens lets the camera shoot at higher shutter speed and capture clear, blur-free images in lower lighting situation. The 24mm wide-angle lens captures approx. 213% larger viewing space compared to a normal 35mm lens. The DMC-FX77 also features the 12.1-megapixel Hi-speed CCD and the Venus Engine FHD featuring Intelligent Resolution technology and 6.5x Intelligent Zoom are also incorporated. The DMC-FX77 can record full HD 1920x1080 movies in AVCHD format with Dolby® Digital Creator. A dedicated button lets you instantly start recording movies without any having to make any extra settings. The iA Mode is available in movie recording. The MEGA O.I.S. with Active Mode comes in handy when shooting while walking or playing with children. Both photos and movies in AVCHD format recorded on SD Memory Card are easy to view on a Panasonic VIERA TV.
